DUI AMENDED TO RECKLESS DRIVING – .141, .142!! (September 2009)
Defendant was observed driving in Hillsborough County and was stopped for following too closely. Officers stopped defendant, arrested him after he failed Field Sobriety Excercises and defendant later provided a breath sample of .14. Over the course of several months, Tampa DUI attorney Stephen Higgins negotiated with the state attorney regarding the video surveillance obtained in the case and was able to get the charge amended to a Reckless Driving despite the level of defendant’s blow.
