Hillsborough County Sheriff’s arrested the son of the Pinellas-Pasco County State Attorney on charges of drunk driving in Tampa early Sunday morning. Patrick Thomas McCabe was arrested on charges of DUI with property damage after he hit a fence near the intersection of Miley and Stanley roads in Plant City. He was released on $500 bail.
According to TBO.com McCabe ran a stop sign and crashed through a chain link fence on the side of the road. When deputies arrived McCabe smelled of alcohol, had red, watery eyes, and was unsteady. He reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of 0.168, which is double the legal limit.
