Criminal and DUI Defense Attorney Jeremy Simon Is Ready to Fight for Your Rights
DUI and criminal defense attorney Jeremy Simon, Esq. is a former Assistant State Attorney with the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida. During his tenure with the State, Jeremy prosecuted crimes from petit theft and criminal mischief to DUI and battery. His knowledge about and experience on the “other side” of the courtroom are crucial to the defense team at Finebloom, Haenel & Higgins. Jeremy has a passion for the law and for protecting the rights of his clients, and he brings that enthusiasm for the legal profession to every case.
A native Floridian, Jeremy is a graduate of Florida State University, where he majored in Criminology with a minor in Communication. During his years at Florida State, he worked for the Florida House of Representatives as a reading clerk, working under Speakers Allan Bense and (now) Senator Marco Rubio. He was commended by Speaker Bense for his work during the Terry Schiavo legal debate.
Attorney Simon earned his J.D. at Stetson University College of Law, where he was selected to participate in the Carlton Fields First-Year Appellate Advocacy Competition and served as a Stetson Ambassador. He was awarded Stetson’s William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award, and was also a semi-finalist in the AAJ Intramural Trial Competition. While studying at Stetson, Simon also worked as a Certified Legal Intern for the State Attorney’s Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, where he was placed in the juvenile unit and prepared for and participated in numerous juvenile trials.
Admitted to The Florida Bar in 2011, Jeremy is currently a member of the Sarasota County Bar Association and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys.
